the silence of nature [ongoing project]

Photobook of narratives that reflects on our disconnection from the voices of the natural world. In modernity, we have come to believe that only humans are capable of speaking and that nature is merely a silent backdrop. As a result, we’ve lost the ability to hear the subtle expressions of the landscapes, plants, and creatures around us, treating them as lifeless objects for human use.
Yet nature is not silent; it speaks in a language beyond words—through signs, patterns, and the rhythms of life that endure beyond our perception. This project, documented through analog photography, seeks to capture the silence of these places, bearing witness to the cyclical processes of growth, decay, and renewal in every creation. Through each image, we glimpse an evolving world that reminds us of its own intricate voice and its complex relationship with time.
We are, in essence, walking on the archaeology of tomorrow. These landscapes—what we often take for granted—will one day become remnants of our era, layers in the geological record that reflect both our presence and our neglect. By documenting these places, we are not just capturing scenes; we are preserving moments in the ongoing transformation of nature that will echo long after us, leaving traces for future generations to unearth and interpret.
