I'm finding comfort in wondering.
Works that I'm creating are travelogue of images, words, and objects that I collect during voyages into unknown or foreign places. With these experiences, I'm trying to expand my knowledge of self awareness, others, nature, and the mysterious ways these three entwine.
My choice of subjects comes from a place of intuition, curiosity and it's fueled by an impetuous desire to participate in the stories that unfold around me. These narratives are informed and visually deconstructed by my interest in cultural anthropology, psychology, and cinema. Playfully exploring the relationship between culture and nature by making herbariums, cyanotype prints and analog photography. My work could be placed in the niche of mixed media artisanship.
At this moment, plants are my artistic tool and the motive of images that I'm capturing.
